The Advanced Variable Fighter (AVF) represents the cutting edge in modern mechanized warfare - giving the armies using them both air and land superiority.  It is to modern Aircraft and Armor what Airborne troops are to simple infantry.  Capable of engaging in multiple mission roles as an aircraft, or reconfiguring it's geometry on mission to engage in close quarters ground combat and urban siege warfare.  The AVF has redefined mechanized warfare.
