TITLE: "Poison Touch"

BACKGROUND:
I thought I knew love once, but I was wrong, She touched my heart and left a poisoned wound. The wound became infected, and through it, darkness seeped into my soul. Now darkness is all I see, all I am.
This image was created using Prang colored pencils with 3.5mm cores. It was rendered on a medium tooth drawing surface, found in a leatherbound, Tara sketchbook (8.5 x 11 inch). The entire piece took me about ten hours to complete (this is a guesstimate, as I was not keeping track of time).
This piece is the Ninth heart motife image created as part of the collective work "Heart & Soul".

I absolutely love the concept of this. The shading is gorgeous. I love the background. My only critism is the hand.. it could do with some more work. Try modelling it on your own hand, by putting your hand in the same pose.
